The Anti-Chinese Bill just passed in the United States *-3 of a most 'drastic' natuve. The eapta-ns of vessels importing Chinamen are to be held liable. Latest intelligence received from the scene of the trouble with natives in Dahomey is to the effect that 6000 Dahomeyans are camped near Partonovo, and it is expected they will make an attack on the French troops. French troops stationed in Senegal have been sent to reinforce the garrisons at Cotonon and Portonovo, •which are being threatened by the Dahomeyan rebels. The Dahomeyans have sworn to extirpate the French. The Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward's Island has passed a Bill abolishing the Legislative Council- and constituting one Assembly of thirty members, half of whom are to be elected under the principle of universal suffrage and half under property franchise. A renewal of the modus vivendi in connection with the Newfoundland fisheries has been arranged.
