WELLINGTON MONEY iMARKET. A good amount of business has been done in the open market in advances on security of real estate. The bulk of the transactions have been done at 7 per cent., but we hear of two large sums, £15,000 and £20,000, being negotiated at 6k. At the present time the demand appears to have overtaken the supply, and the amount of money available seems to be not more than sufficient for requirements. We think, however, that any deficiency in supply cannot be more than temporary looking at the character of the recent banking returns of this and the neighboring colonies, and the state of the Home money market. — Price Ourreut.
