At Shrule, Mayo* yesterday, a serious riot occurred between the police and the peasantry, who had assembled in large numbers to prevent an ejectment. Severe fighting took place and several of the rioters were arrested. The mob, however, again attacked the police, and rescued the prisoners, after fiu*ther .conflict. News to band from Cork is that roads in that district have been destroyed, and telegraph lines have been cut in Beyend. places.
