> • [special to manawatu herald."] "Wellington, Monday, 7 p.m. The funeral of a little named Goodwin, who died on Tuesday morning last, was to have taken place this afternoon, but was stopped by order of the Coroner. It has transpired that she was struck on the head by a boy named Fitzgerald a fortnight ago, which possibly accelerated her death. An inquest will probably be held. The Wharf Sale Committee of the City Council recommends a conference with the Harbour Board re the sale of the Queen's Wharf to the Board, At the R. M. Court, Grahamstown, today, Mr Kenrick, who was also coroner at the inquest, announced that he had been subpoened to produce the depositions and give evidence relative to the inquest on the Te Aroha murder case, and accordingly should leave the Bench. The case then proceeded before two Ju stices.
