DISTRICT COURT.
» YE3TRRDAY. [Wangamri Herald.] (Before his Honor Judge Hardcaatle.) Re Emile Etienne Metard, of Palmer* ston, an arranging debtor. — Mr Hawkins applied for an order declaring the deed of arrangement completely executed. There being no opposition, bis Honor said the order would be made here, the necessary sealing, &c, to be done in Palmsrston. Re -Toh* Alfred Perreau of Foxton, a debtor.— Mr Fitzherbert applied for a war* rant for the 'arrest of Nathaniel Bartlett, whose evidence was required by the trustee in order to throw light on his (Bartlett's) dealings with the debtor. Mr Fitzherbert stated that Mr "Bartlett had been summoned to attend and had had his reasonable expenses guaranteed, but had neglected to appear.— His Honor said if there were no other way of getting Mr Bartlett's evidence he should order the warrant to be issued. — Mr Fitzherbert said he had no wish to arrest Mr Bartlett, except a3 a last resource, and suggested that the cane should be adjourned for a week, intimation being in the meantime conveyed to Mr Bartlett that if he did not attend and give his evidence a warrant would ibsue for his arrest. The Court adopted this suggestion.
