Billy Wilson's Skull.— The following extraot is from the Sydney Bulletin :— Talking of political subjects, reminds me that although the crude African in his wild state has, generally speaking, the hardest skull in the animal kingdom, there are instances also where the cultured coloured gentleman runs his missionary-eating brother mighty close. As a sample of this, I once heard that Mr Billy Wikon, the tweet singer from Georgia, was a waiter in * large American, hotel, and a bet was made one right between the'boxer, Heenao, and a few friends', ttfat Heenan couldn't thump 1 a dint in William* head with one blow. The lights Were then tamed down ; -Master William entered, bearing a tray and classes, and Heen^n immediately struck him a clout that woald shake the Town round and observe, in a slightly injured II tone, "Oenunro, please be more car-ful W wid ywur elbows.'
