The Jane Douglas arrived from Welling. ;on on Tuesday morning, bringing a good itamber of passengers. She returned the mmc afternoon, and has proceeded on to Kaikoura and Lyttelton. The Stormbird may be expected in port ;oday from Wellington, and will leave tonftrrow. iWe are informed that the paddle-steamer tarason, which was bought a few days ago ay Mr VV. Hickson for £300, has since been sold to Captain Harvey, late of the Rangaira,. and a well-known engineer, for the wm of £400. They intend to run her in he cattle trade on the East Coast, fur -vhich. her Urge carrying capacity renders *er in every way suitable.
