♦ (from our, own correspondent.) Wellington, Monday, 7 p.m. The trial of Tuhi, for the murder of Miss Dobie, commenced afc the Supreme Court this morning. Messrs Izard and Chapman appeared for the Crown, Mr Forwoocl defending. Prisoner pleaded not guilty. The evidence of Major* Goring, Constable Connor, Mr Coffey, a storekeeper ab Opunake, and Mr Eyes, a settler, was taken. The case is expected to last two or three days. The Hon. Mr Dick left for tlie South this afternoon, and the Premier follows him in a few days. The 'Frisco Mail has arrived at Auckland.
