The s.s. Stormbird, Captain Doile, left Wellington on Thursday" evening, at 9 o'clock; crosaed the bar at 1 p.m. next day, and reached the wharf at 2 o'clock. She left on the return voyage at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Captain Swede, late master of the schooner Laurel, which was recently abandoned off f£aikoura, has bee.i nppoiufced mate of the Stormbird. The Stormbird is expected to arrive today from Wellington. The Huia may be expected to arrive today from Wellington via Wanganui. She will leave agnin for Wellington tomorrow.
