(PEB PBESS AGENCY.) "WELLiNaTON, Monday, 7 p.m. A committee of management of the Opposition state the rumours circulated in the papers regarding a coalition are entirely without foundation. They say that no member of their party ever contemplated such a movement,nor will any one of them agree to a coalition. - It is reported this morning that the Government made overtures to Opposition to form a Ministry this vay: — Whitaker, Premier, and he and Macandrew to choose from their respective parties alternate members of ministry, but the proposal was rejected. It is understood Government remains firm in determination to keep back want of confidence motion until such time as their measures of reform have been passed or ■negatived. Perfectly regardless whether Opposition grant supplies or not.
