BOAT ACCIDENT AT AUCKLAND.
• (PEE PEESS AGEXCY) Auckland, Tuesday. A brat containing four men was observed to capsize off North Fend during a heavy north-easterly gale. A hat was found on 'ho adjacent beach, but no trace of the men . The boat was also seen floating bottom upwards. The names of the men arnot known. Later. Yesterday afternoon, as Mr and Mrs Biddich was observing the plaj ; of the waters during a hurrioane ! from their abode iv 'Orakei Baj through a spyglass, they .saw a blue boat with four men in it a short distanco from the Meads, which was upset and the men lost to sight — if is supposed drowned. The police ! are making inquiries.
