ANOTHER VOICE FROM OTAKI.
TO THE EDITOR Of TKE MANAWATD" HEIULD. Sir — Yonr " political outlook," ' as shown I in your leading article of the 16th inst, has been reau. by your Otalri readers with interest, and no doubt there ure many here as * well as myself who are watching the progress of political matters connected with the Colony, digesting in silence, not caring to show publicly in which way their views tend. Relative to " Halcombeite's " letter of the 1 3th Insfc, headed " A voice from Otaki," I am certain that the majority of the Pake* has voted against Mr Halcombe, and on principle, not being biassed in any way. I - pgreo with him as to the Maori votes, in so for that they were split, — not equally divided. I am, &c , ScnuftNMEß. Ofcaki, September 17, 1579.
