THE OTAKI SCHOOL.
A mectiug of the Otaki School Commitlee was held on Saturday afternoon. Present — Messrs Siincox (Chairman), Carkeek, Bright, Jenkins, Hadfleld, and Roy. Mr M'WiUiam.
The following tenders for erection of the schoolhousa were opened : — W. Chalmers, £325 3 Austin and Parsons, £398; W. Douglas, £4>Qo ; Reane and Dodds, £401 ; T. Eaatoo, £426 ; Sutherland and O'Dow, £486 19s; 801 l and Taylor, £490; J. Russell, £527.
It was resolved to recommend the Board io accept the tender of Win. Chalmers, for £325.
The Uev. J. W William and Mr ffadfield were appointed to collect subscriptions for the purchase of a school site, to report progress at next meeting. The Committee then adjourned.
