July 21 — w ampson, ps, 124 tons, Bascand, from Wellington, in ballast. FAILED. July 18— Huia, ss, 90 tons, Wills, for Wellington. Passengers : Cabin — Messrs Skelly, Sale, and Georgia Minstrels (10) ; 2 steerage. Thynne, Linton & Co., agents. CLEARED. July 2 f— Colleen Bawn, soh, 29 tone, Craig, for Wellington. Master, agent. IMPORTS. Per Huia— 2 pckgs, Lidiell ; 5 gunnies, Thynne, Linton & Co. ; 8 pokgs, Futter ; 4 pckgs, Crowther ; 100 bars iron, Government; 263 pckgs, other consignees. EXPORTS. Per Colleen Bawn— ls,o JO feet of timber. Per Huia— 9,l9l feet timber, Thynne, Linton & Co ; 2,970 fee* timber; Liddell. The s.s. Huia, Captain Wills, left this port on Friday morning last for Wellington, and left there on the return trip on Saturday evening ; anchored at Kapiti for some hours, and arrived' off the bar at 8 o'clock on Sunday morning; crossed at 10, and mado fast to the wharf at 10.45. Experi enced strong S.W winds and heavy sea from Terawiti to arrival. • Tho Huia leaves for Wellington Tho p.s. Sampson, Cnptnin Bascand, left Wellington on Saturday- afternoon, at 3.30 p.m.,- and laid under- Kapiti all Sunday, entering the Manawatu Kiver yesterday morning. She is lying alongside the small wharf at Hartley's, where she will load up with railway plant, from tho Hydrabad, and tranship the snme at Kapiti to a barque called the Matilda, which will proceed with it to its original destination, youth Australia. .'.-■••• Tho Cclleen Bnjpn has loaded up with ] 5,000 feet of timber fron? M'Beth's mill, and will proceed to Wellington directly *he weather is sufficiently moderate to allow of her departure. ' •• • Tho steamer Jano Douglas may be ex-' pected from Wellington to-day.
