(PER PRESS AGENCY.) Wellington, Wednesday. It is understood that Sir George Grey sent a verbal message by Mr Macandrew to Mr Ballance to-day, offering to apologise amply if he would resume the Treasurership. Mr fiailance replied, it was no longer possible. He left in the Rangatira for Wanganui to-night. It is understood the Government have finally decided not to appoint another Auckland man to the vacancy in the Cabinet. It is reported that the Attorney -Generalship has been offered to Mr Moorhouse.
