LAND SALE IN THE DOUGLAS BLOCK.

CAMrB__f_LTOW-*T. We have received a lithographed plan of tho town of Campbell, which is to be sold by Messrs Stevens and Gorton at the Foxton Public Hall on Saturday, April 5. The new township is situated iv the centre of the Douglas block, and will have full communication with other parts of the district, the main road to Awa* huri bein? at present iv course of formation, whilst the plan shows that the road to Saudon passes through the centre of Campbell. There are about 450 sections to be offered, nearly all containing 1 rood each. The township has been laid out ex* cellently, a large square in the centre (called Douglas Square) being re* served at. a recreation ground, whilst the streets, of which there are four* teen, are named after rivers of Great Britain. Already a number of set* tiers are looated near to Campbell, upon the Douglas Block, and considering the quality of the surrounding country, and its close proximity to the proposed Sandon line of railway, it should be a good investment. German-town. A number of sections in this township are also to be offered by Messrs Stevens and Gorton, at the same time and place. Germantown is situated near to the Carnarvon junction, and settlement has been going on in the vicinity for some time past. The Sandon Railway goes past the township, and doubtless the land will fetch good prices. As the terms are liberal, and the title to be given is under the Land Transfer Act, we expect to -see a large number present at the sale ; and hope to chronicle a successful auction.
