His Excellency and Lady llobinson i were brought off in the steamer, on board of which were all the Ministers in Wellington. A lar^e concourse of people assembled; estimated to be

The Mayor presented an address of welcome, to which bis Excellency replied very briefly, saying that he hoped the favorable estimate they had formed of his abilities would not be lessened by the closer intimacy which he hoped would exist between them. His Excellency was theu diiven off to Government House, where he was sworn in by Mr Justice Richmond. A vice regal salute was fired wheri his Excellency left the ship, and another when he was sworn in. His Excellency was heartily cheeiod on 'landing, and again after replying to Municipal address, and still more c n thusiastically after being sworn in
