THR attention of Butchers and 1 others is drawn to clause 22 of the Slaughterhouses Act, 1877 : — 22.-— "If any person, without being duly licensed, shall keep a slaughterhouse, or place for slaughtering cattle, intended for sale, or barter, or for shipping, and not being an abattoir lawfully erected, or provided, or a slaughterhouse licensed by the Council cf any corporate district, or if any per. son shall slaughter, or cause io be slaughtered, contrary to the provisious of this Ac!, any cattle, in any house or place, not being an abattoir, and not being a slaughterhouse duly licensed under this Act, such person shall forfeit and pay a sum not exceed' ing ten pounds for eacli and e\ery head of cattle so slaughtered.
