One or two narrow escapes have taken place during the voyng*, and it is ouly by the gool seamanship of Captain Russell, and his thorough knowledge of tho coast, that the schooner has got safely to port. After her long detention in port owing to the Tierce westerly weather lately e.x> perienced, the Jane Douglas got away at 7 o'clock on Saturday morning, rcaehiug Wellington at ij p.m. same day. The f.s. CHenclg got away about nine o'clock on Saturday moruing with a cargo of railway material from the llydrabad, shipped at Hartley's. She had in tow the schooner Isabella which was similarly loaded. Tho steamers Jane Douglas and Tui will probably show up to-day from Wellington.
