Tenders addressed to the Colonial Architect, and marked outside " Tender for Lock-up, Wanganui," will be received at the abovaoffice up to noon of Monday, the 11th day of Govern* ber, 1878. Telegraphic tenders will be received provided the original tender and deposit are lodged with the nearest District Engineer at the time above specified. BURROWS, Acting Colonial Architect. . mENDERS are required for the J. erection of 3£ miles (more or less) of fencing : to commence at a point on the Foxton and Carnarvon Koad. The fencing to consist of two sods, ditch, and wire, where practicable ; 8 wires on ridges and sand flats; pos's not more than 8 feet apart ; straining posts ,^6t less than 10 chains apart, excepting in places when) it is necessary to have them at a less distance ; straining posts to be well strutted and braced. All material will be laid on the lino, as near as possible. Tenders to state at what rate per chain the above fencing will bo done as follows :~ . . One sod and 7 wires per chain Two sods and 5 j Three sods and 3 „ „ Eight wires only Tenders marked "Tenders for fencing," and addressed to E. !
