TO TUE EDITOR OF TIIE MANAWATU HERALD. Sir — Tn your last issue I saw a speoch of Mr Eockstrow's regarding a Motoa . petition in which hgatatjed that the setilers at Motoa did not pray. The petition showed our anxiety to prey, as our road is in a wretched state. We are a preying peoplo. So naturalists observe, a flea Has smaller fleas that oa bim prey ; And these havo smaller still to bite 'om, And so proceed ad injltiitum. (iJwift). I am, &c, A Motoa Settler.
