' . 15ach sido \yon five events, the .Americans taking the ; broad jump, 440 yai'ds hurdles, and three relay races' of four miles, t^vo miles, and 440 yards. The British won the high jump, one mile, two miles, and half milo relay, in which Davidson finished first by six yards. Thompson (the Canadian champion) won tho 120 yards hurdles in 14 4-osecs., creating a world's record on the grass.
