A RUNAWAY VICTORY.
(Received Aug. 11, 10.25 p.m.) SYDNEY, Aug. 11. The All Blacks' final contest against the Metropolitan team was a runaway affair, the visitors winning by 81 points to 5.. The local team was without prominent flayers, and was as helpless as sdaaoloisys before the Block invasions.
Shortly after the commencement Hingst gathered tike ball near the touch-line, and, skirting past Badeley, crossed, Mingay converting. From this out New Zealand initiated a .succession of passing movements, which, invariably ended in a spore. The. Jociil defence was of the feeblest imaginable. Tries wore scored by the following: Baiird and Badeley (threo each), Tilyard, Jacobs, Mac Lean, and Moffatt (two). Storey, Wilson, Ihineaii, Roberts, arid West (one). Goals were kicked by Roberts (five), Moffaitfc /(two), Baird, Brown, Tilyard, W<&t r and Storey (one eacii).
