NEW YORK, Aug. 1. James Show, an English, coal merchant, of Leeds, hissed the demonstrators At Archbishop "Mannix's departure. Shaw stood on tho second deck of the Baltic. Several longshoremen climbed aboard and viciously attacked Shaw. They broke his leg and beat him about the body. A large force of police finally stood off the attackers and broke up what threatened to become a riot.
