[Press Association.] WELLINGTON, July 30. " The Dominion Contei-ence of the Farmoi's' Union decided to urge the GoA'ernnient to make all the rural mail services free and adequate, and that the levy on local bodies for hospital a.nd charitable aid unduly taxes the holders of rural properties and that the Government be asked to altev the law so-.as to raise the money on a more equitable basis.
Remits were carried insisting on making more provision for competent nursing and medical services m the outlying districts, and asking the Government to bear the cost of maternity expenses in all cases of need.
