WAGES CLAIM REJECTED.

(Received July 17, 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, July 16. The Industrial Court dismissed a claim by the trades, unions associated with, the engineering industry for a further increase in wages on the ground of the cost of living. The employers contended that the increases already conceded wore adequate to meet the increased -cost of living, ajid that further advances would injure trade. The Court found that the workers had failed to establish their claim.
