MARTIAL LAW AT TIENTSIN.
(Received July. 15, 1.5 a.m.) PEKIN, July 14. y Attempts nre being made to dissuade the Anfu generals from marching upon Pekin. The suspension of traffic between Pekin and Hankow caused the foreign Legations to take steps to insure a continuation of the city's food supply. ■ It is reported that Admiral -Cleaves, commander of the United States Pacific squadron, has arrived :tt Tientsin, where martial law has Iteen proclaimed.
