SYDNEY, April 10. For tho fourth day of the A.J.O. meeting the weather was fine and tlie attendance was good. The going was also good. Watt's Bright Night created a surprise by defeating the fancied horses in the Rons Handicap. Eandwick never witnessed a greater raive than the A.J.C. Plato. Each of the three runners refused to make tho pace, miul actually stopped a few yards from the tape. Bracken on Poitrel then stole £•/ march on the others and streaked away with the lead. After «mcc round in the. slowest of canters all stopped again. _ This timo Kennaquhair j!,ot away with the lead-, but once the pace was put oi| Poiti-el he easily defeated tho leader: Miliiome broke a blood vessel and pulled up. A.J.O. Plate- Poi-trcl (9.5) 2, Kemuu-mahair (9.5) 2, Milliome (7.U) 3. Thrco started. All dwelt at the start. Poitrel wco first paced, then Kcnnaquahair led. Tv the str:u<_rlit Poitrel went to the front and won by 1-1 lengths. Time, 2min. 5-2>oo. Final Handicap: All Aboard ,(8.0) 1. Swift Shot (8.0) 2, Syadcs (9.0) 3. Eleven started. Fluer&nt and All Aboard were prominent in the early stages of the race. All Aboard was first into the straight and won easily by I-4 lengths. Time, 2min. s|sec.
