RUGBY FOOTBALL.
CENTRAL CLUB
A well-attended meeting of the Central Football Club was held in the Loloma on Saturday evening, and, judging by the interest displayed, the Club should be well represented this year. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—President, Mr F. W. Dodson; vice-presidents, Messrs H. Tapp, E. M. Gibson, J. Branton, H. Webster, and nine others re-elected from last year's list; delegate to M.R.U., Mi* H. Webster; secretary and treasurer, Mr W. Pinkham; selection committee, Messrs A. M. Connolly, W. Gibson. P ; . Vercoe, H. Webster, and J. H. Priddle; general committee, Messrs Ornstein, Glennie,, Saul, Mclsaac, Wells, J. Day, and R. Forbes. It was decided to send a challenge to the Opawa Club for a friendly match, to be played next-Saturday. The secretary was instructed to send letters of condolence to Mrs B. S. Cloustpn, Springlands, and Mrs J. Rothweli, Nelson.
