MARLBOROUGH ASSOCIATION'S
MEETING
AN ATTRACTIVE PROGRAMME
The programmes .for ' the Marlborough Rifle Association's meeting, which is to> bo held this month, are nbw in circulation. The programme is si most liber.il one; there are nine matches, which include Cadet. Service, and Bislev-condition matches. There is also an excellent list of special trophies for different championships and aggregates. The Cadet section" is well catered far, there being a separate match, for which the prize money is: Ist £1 10s, 2nd £1,5 .prizes of .10s. each* and 4 prizes of 5s each. and. five separate prizes hv every match on ijie programme, as well as a valuable cup and gold medal. . ' ~ , ..; Tyro shots are •also well catered for, there being five prizes in each competition, as well as a special trophy valued at £o 5s for the best tyro- aggregate. . , Thero are eight open matches, the prize money in each match being: Ist £2, 2nd £1 10s, 4 prizes of £1 each, 5 prizes cf 10s each, 5 prizes of 5s each, 5 tyro prizes of 10s each,;. 5 cadet prizes of 5s eaqh; a total of £15. The present allotted trophies are: Cadet Championship, silver cup, presented by Mr W. N. Mnse&eld, ■ and gold medal; Marlborough Championship, gold medal; best tyro acwreo-ate, trophy valued £5 ss, presented by Mr W. 11. West; best aggregate score at 500 yards, trophy valued £5 ss, presented by Mr C. I, Murray. • ■■ . - Other -trophies to be allotted. r.re: Mr J. Cresswell. There appears tr- bo only one trophy missing—a Champion Bdt— but perhaps ithat may be. forthcoming before the meeting. The programme certainly is a •rreat credit to the Association, and tt is to be hoped that the shooting fraternity 'will respond freely on the entry-forms.
