Le Temps states that the- German troops occupied Essen after the Reels hod fled, many of whom surrendered. The Reichswehr continue to. advance into the centre of the Rhenish Westphalian basin. This is attributed to the pressure of the military party at Berlin upon the German Government. The latter are asking the Allies to allow them to tipc troom in the neutral aone until the TOth of July, pointing out that 'Germany has already been allowed to u-e troom to maintain order until the 10th of April.
