PALMERSTON BURGLARY.
ONLY SMALL EOOTY FOUND.
PALMERSTON N., April 6. Between Thursday evening, and c°-T Fi'\ iA-y morning, the premise* of Lauohlan and Co., jewellers, in, Coles Buildings. wer3 broken into by burglars, and about £100 worth of silver and jewellery, including: twenty watches, was stolen. Mora valuable goods Avere locked up atnight in a stromg room, and the thief only secured goods of minor value. JHe door leading from a public pas^ sage in the building was opened Bycutting away a portion of the woodwork, and inserting through the aperture something with which to open the lock. Finger prints on a gfess J^nel wxll possibly afford a clue to the tnier. .
