GREAT RACE FOR SYDNEY CUP.

An even bigger crowd than on Saturday attended the A.J.C. races. The once, famous Biplane ran in the Flying Handicap, but was never prominent. Poitrel was favorite for the Cup, Artilleryman going out of favor after Saturday's defeat. Keimaquhtiir was &iways in a handy position. He went to the front at the end of three furlongs, and held a commanding lead to the distance, where Poitrel, coming great guns, just failed to reach Kennaquhair. Bunting was favorite for the Loyal Handicap, and ■n as prominent to the distance, but failed to stay.
Plying Handicap: Warspito (7.0) 1, Molly's Robe (9.7) 2, Remmon (7.2) 3. Eighteen started. Won by two lengths. Time, Imin lljsec. Cliampagne Stakes: Tressady Queen (9.1) 1, Galteo Maid (8.8) 2, Erasmus (8.10) 3. Seventeen started. AVbn by a neck. Time, lmin. 12seo.

A great race saw Kennaquhair get home by a neck, two lengths between second and third. Time, 3min. 22| sec.—A record.
