[Press Association.) CHRISTCHURGH, Feb. 25. At the Addiugton market there tras an average yarding of fat sheep. a larger one of fat cattle, and a much smaller one of fat lambs. Prices for fat sheep more than recovered from last week's drop, whilst fat lambs .sold at recent rates. Beef was ■easier. Stare i>heep were forward in large numbers. > Store Sheep: The biggest yarding of the season included a considerable number of Marlborough sheep, which did not meet, with vendors' ideas of values. Lambs comprised a smaller proportion of the entry than usual. The sale throughout, in spite of the large yarding, was equal to the preceding* week's. The rain was a factor in keeping values up. Forward lambs 22s to 24s 7d,, ordinary 18s to 21s 9d. low conditioned 14s to 17s 9d, good four arid six-tooth ewes 3s to 36s Id, good two-tooths 29s to 325, two, four, six/ and eight-tooth ewes 23s 6d to 27s' Id. fconind and good mouth ewes 19s io 25s 6d, aged forward ewes 19s 6d to 25s 6dl, good four,, six, and eight-tooth wethers 28s to 30s 3d, ordinary 23s (3d to 27s 6d, inferior 17s 6d to 22s 6d. Bulls £8 to £19 (extra heavy), two-year steers £7 5s to £8, day cows £5 10s to £9 10s. Dairy Cows: There was a small entry. Good springers to £17 10s, good heifers to £15 5s 4 inferior £4 10s to £9, medium cows £9 to £15. Vealers: There was an average yarding, with a good demand. Runners to £8, medium to £6, good vealers £3 12s 6d to £4 12s 6d, small 9s to 30s. Pigs: There was a fair entry and a moderate demand. Extra heavy baconers to £9 6s, ordinary £6 to £7—average price per lb lid to Hid; heavy porkers £5 to £5 15s, ordinary £4 to" £4 15s—average price per lb Is Id to Is l*d; choppers £9 to £10. Store Pigs: There was a small entry. Seven purebred Berkshire ■obaxs brought from 7 to 15 guineas each.
