MR. COOKE'S TOUR.
(Communicated.)
In a letter just received from Mr Cooke's touring companion he states that on the journey back to Tophouse it rained lifee Noah's Sood; also that his trip (over the Hope Saddle, with its steep grade and sharp corners, was a nightmare that he did not Avish to repeat. There is no doubt that electioneering in districts like Hurunxn,, Wairan, etc.., is hardly "a thing of beauty and a joy forever." Mr Gaoke had a splendid reception at Tophouse, Glenhbpe,, Tadmor^ etc. .
