The financial section..,of ■ the London Chamber-of Commerce considered whether any special steps should be suggested with the object of stabilising or improving the American exchange, hut the members came to the unanimous conclusion that the remedy was only to be found in national economy and hard work, and that, in no case, should artificial means be recommended. Every candidate for Parliamentary honors during the forthcoming elections is" to be asked to support any lip-to-date town planning measure that might be brought forward in the House of Representatives. This decision was arrived at by the executive of the Federated Town-Planning Association of New" Zealand at a meeting held in Wellington on Tues-, day, when Mr, 'C. J. Parr, M.P., C.M.G., presided.
