■ WOMEN'S RIGHTS PRIME MINISTER CONGRATULATED. [Press Association.? WELLINGTON, Oct. 23. A large deputation, representative of the various womens f organisations waited on the Prime Minister to-day to congratulate him upon whsit he had done in regard to the Womons Parliamentary Rights Bill and to strengthen his hands if necessary to enable the new Bill to pass through the Legislative Council. Various speakers admitted that Mr Massey had even gone further than h.j promised last session in his efforts on behalf of women. The Prime Minister explained that the Bill to enable women to stand for | election to the House of Represen- • tatives had been passed safely, but he was not so certain as to what would become of the other measure. H>? had done all that was possible in the circumstances. The fact that the Bill was a Government measure lright influence members of the Legislative Council to pass it into law. Mr Massey explained the position of the Legislative Council Act, ivhich T'-akes the Council elective, and which, it had been promised, should be placed before Parliament again prior to its becoming law. Personally he thought that the Act ivuuld come hito effect next year, though it was just possible that it would be amended to allow a proportion of tha members to be nominated. iwnpaiasoYOMfr '/&\ Rub Dandruff and i~.<4^ Aching witn vi/Cii&GpiaODtfmQit--.
