WELLINGTON, Aug. 20. I'here was glorious weather this morning for the arrival of the New Zealand, which entered the heads at half-past seven. The vessel was brought alongside the Queen's Wharf by the. Harbor-master and Lord Jellicoe landed soon after ten, the shore batteries' firing a salute of 19 guns and the crowds giving Lord Jellicoe a great reception. , Lord Jellicoe paid a-n official visit to the Governor-General, who returned the cal! at 11 a.m., a salute of 19 guns being fired by the Zealand on the _ latter occasion. Official visits wore also paid by the Commandant of the Forces, the Prime ■Minister (uid Sir Joseph Ward, and the Mayor. ' ■' : ' Great enthusiasm prevailed during the march of 250 sailors to th© Town Hall, arid tins redoubled during Lord Jellicoe s progress to the same destiratioa to tho civic reception.
