Dr" D. L. Freeman, of the staff of the Christ-church Technical College, has been appointed instructor in agriculture under the Auckland Educr.tion Board. Dr Freeman is a Doctor of Philosophy of Halle University, Germany, and he holds English diplomas in dairying and agriculture. Some"years .ago he was Assistant Inspector of Agriculture in New South Wales.

Mr Fring-Rowe went to France as a chaplain. He will be unable to leave England till towards the end of the year.
