SALE OF RIVERLANDS
'Ideally situated, with land of the finest quality to be found in thw Wairnu Plain, r-ot destroyed by having been crooped year in and year out, tho sale of the Riverlands Racecourse should commend itself to property-buyers. The Racing Club, having definitely arranged to shift to Waterlea, where surveyors are now engaged laying out a course, has quite determined to sell tho old property where tho races have been held for so many years. The property is in splendid heart, and would make a first-rate small agricultural or grazing property. Tho caretaker, Mr Coleman, this year planted a small area in potatoes, and some tubers now on view at Griffiths Bros.' offices show what the land will dp; the crop was a particularly heavy one. There is an area of some five acres in lucerne, which shows what can be done in this direction. -A crop of mangolds grown by the Club a few years ago also was something of a record. Every evidence goes to show that for agriculture this land is unexcelled, and the sale should attract many buyers.
