Walter James Robert Keen, wh» h>ad pleaded guilty (in the< Lower Obrirt of having burglariously entered the postmasters residence at Milton sand the P'O.st Office Savings Bank and stealing £020, was. brought up for sentence at the Supieme Court tliw morning. He 'had also peaded guilty to forging a telegram and stealing pi. colt at. IM-akarora.
Judgo_ Sim said that it would be better, in tho prisoner's own interests, that ho be- deprived of his liberty for a.' time, in order that he might be cured of his fondness for horse-racing. Ho would be ordea-ed 1o be detained for reformative purposes for a period of not more than three- years.
