The .Wellington' Racing Club's autumn meeting opened in fine weather. ■ The course was in good order. There was" a large attendance. Results:
First Hank Hurdles: Yankee Jack 1, Papanui % 2, MtoAicipal 3. Scratched : Munster. Won by four lengths, the same between second and third. Time,' 3min 12 3-ssec.
New Zealand St. Leger Stakes: Afterglow 1, Star Lady 2, Almoner 3. The only starters. Won by tAvo and a half lengths. Time,' "three ininutes.
Plunket Nursery Handicap: Red Pepper 1, Some Kid 2, 'Ermine 3. v\on by a, neck. Time, Imin l-sscc.
