INFLUENZA.

IN THE DOMINION

The Hon. G. W. Russell, Minister for Public Health, stated at Christchurch this week that there were 64 cases of influenza reported in the •whole Dominion, of which 15 were severe. Only three cases were notified in the South Island, and this seemed ,to show that the disease was stronger, in the warmer climates, and negatived its being accepted by the Health Department that a recrudescence of the disease was to be looked for as the cold weather came on. The indications proved such as to be j-egarded as favorable on this point.
