As a yearling he won first prizes at the following shows. Palmerston North, Masterton, and Feilding. ' As a two-year-old he was awarded first prizes at Mastsrton, Carterton, Palmerstwn North, and Feilding. As a three-year-old he was awarded first and reserve champion at the Chi\istchurch stallion parade, and first prizes again at Palmerston North and Masterton. Laird Bticntyvie's sire—Buchlyvie's Favorite —is also a remarkably successful show horse, winning on every occasion on which he was shown in New Zealand. His record for last year is five firsts and one championship, including successes at: Christchurcn and Dunedin.
