STRONG BRITISH PRESSURE.
(Aus. and N.Z. Assn. and Reuter.) LONDON, Oct. 2. Sir Douglas Haig, in a report dated October 2nd, 0.10 p.m., says: After maintaining strong pressure earlier in tlie day the Thirty-second Division successfully attacked in the afternoon the German defensive line from Fons-o-miu© to the neighborhood of Beaurevoir. They captured Sequeahrt and Prescelles, and reached the Fonso-miuo-Beaurevoir line. Northwards we cleared Joneourt of the enemy. The Australians completed the capture of the defences southward of Le Catelet and are going southward of Cambrai. A fierce struggle, lasting all day, terminated in a successful attack at dusk, by which the Now Zeaalnders, English, and Scottish troops drove out the enemy from C'reveeoeuran d Rumilly, and established themselves on the high ground eastward and northward of these villages. Several hundred prisoners were t-ocuied in these operations.
