A French communique stiites: Our bombing machines ceaselessly attacked the Marno bridges, * The Germans debouched on the northern and southern banks, but were machine-gunned and bombed. They lost heavily and were frequently scattered. . A bridge, thrown over the river in front of Dormans was flooded with projectiles and collapsed. The convoy crossing were engulfed. Twenty-one tons of explosives were dropped in the day-time and fourteen tons at night on the enemy's roar. Explosions, fires, and much damage were observed. There.were numerous air-fights. Twenty-nine German machines fled disabled.
