A large and enthusiastic meeting of Second Division reservists was held in the Debating Hall on Monday evening. The good attendance and the enthusiasm shown throughout the meeting are evidence that the local reservists arc taking a keen interest in Second Division matters. Mr B. J. Cooke, president of the Marlborough Second "Division League, and several Blenheim members were present. f Mr Dickenson was voted to the chair, and after stating the purpose for which the meeting had been called, and alluding to Second Division matters generally, called on Mr Cooke to address the meeting. Mr Cooke, on rising to speak, was loudly applauded, and in the course of an interesting and forcible address dealt with the commencement of the Second Division League and the objects for which the League is working.
, Several other Blenheim speakers also addressed the meeting. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr Cooke and his colleagues for their attendance and the capable manner in which the League's aims were placed before the meeting. A motion that a local branch of the Second Division League bo formed was carried unanimously. Mr F. T. Flower was unanimously elected president and Mr Dickenson secretary. Committee, Messrs W. Auckram, T. A. Cloughley, B. Field, A. Luff, T. Forest, V.'Geary, N. Simonsen^ and F. Gardiner. At the conclusion of the meeting the secretary had a busy time enrolling members, after which all sat down to an excellent supper thoughtfully provided by the ladies.
