MOUTERE v. RICH SCHOOL
The other match of the day was Moutere v. .High School, at Spring Creek. The former team won by 3 points (a try) to nil, after a hardfought game. Mr C. E. Costello controlled this game. . Players in this season's competitions owe a debt of gratitude to both the referees above-named for the consistency with which they have overlooked their own personal comfort and come forward to referee.
A collection was taken up at the 'Domain gate on Saturday by two pupils of the Springlands school to aid in financing a competition to be begun at once between all the. primary schools in Marlborough, and Is 3d was obtained. " ■■>"'.-
Next Saturday two games iv: v,r played on the Domain. Moutere (6) v. Opawa (5), and High School (4) v. Waitohi (4). Collections will be t rkv 1 f rxip evei 7-■ Saturday by pupils ot different schools, and it is hoped that all patriotic followers of the game will support the movement liberally and help to promote healthy exercise amongst the younger son's of the Empire.
