Official:: Lord Rhondda has invited the local -government bodies in Great Britain to -appoint food control committees to administer the new scheme of sugar distribution, under which retailers are required to register sugar cards issued to the public. The committees are also requested to continue the food economy campaign and deal with, other foodstuffs, ineluding meat and bread, and to enforce fixed food prices.
