CANADIANS CELEBRATE ■DOMINION'S ANNIVERSARY

The < Canadians pushed further through Avion southwards near Fresnoy and ' Oppy. The Canadians celebrated the l>ominy>nV\ anniversary by a special . shoot at mid-day. All the howitzers : fired a tremendous salvo at the -enemy's lines. The Germans, apparently annoyed, retaliated with .great quantities of eight-inch shells.
